Hidden gems of Prague tour

Although Prague has millions of visitors every year, there are still many amazing sights hidden from the typical tourist routes because they’re located in back alleys and out of the busy areas. On this tour your will explore the hidden parts of Prague and discover gorgeous churches, cubist architecture and the former seat of Bohemian kings! Each one of these hidden gems has a great story to tell and you by skipping the crowded streets you can learn some fun facts about all the sights and buildings built centuries ago.

You will start your tour at the Old Town Square and get a brief introduction into the history of Prague over the last millennium. After, you will dive into several back alleys around the square, going through the Týn Court and taking a quick look at two churches which were very important for the royal family of Luxembourg. You will then be led to Charles Square, once the biggest square in the world. This landmark has also many stories to tell – the beginning of Hussite wars by the first Prague defenestration as well as the American bombing of Prague in 1945. On the other side of the square is the Emmaus Monastery, one of the few places with an original and genuine gothic style. Your expert guide will explain the history including the story of how a part of the monastery was blown to pieces by an American bomb dropped on the monastery’s church.

Lastly, your guide will lead you to a place where the Bohemian king history started – the old medieval fortress Vyšehrad. Your tour will end with an amazing panoramic view of the river and the Prague city center below.
