DESCRIPTION
Day 1: Local life
The day starts at 8.00 am when you will join the locals at the market to bargain for the best prices to buy vegetables, meat, fish and everything else you will need for your home cooking class.
After the market, you can check in at the homesta. You will have a short break to rest before starting your cooking class with your hostess where you will learn about Vietnamese delicious cuisine.
At 2.00 pm, we will go on an exploration of the city, its colours and its tastes the "Saigonese style": by motorbike. You will be able to try southern dishes like “banhxeo” or “banhkhot” (Vietnamese rice pancake in southern style), or northern dishes like Hue City’s “com hen” (mussels rice), “bun bo” (Hue style Beef Noodle soup), or “bun cha Ha Noi” (Hanoi Grilled Pork Vermicelli).
Going back to the homestay, you will learn how to cook a special local delicacy: the Vietnamese sweet banana with coconut milk.
You will continue the immersion into locals habits and favorite things to do, relaxing in the coffee shops all over the city. In particular, you will be introduced to one of the peaceful and romantic café shops located not far from the central district.
Day 2: Discover and experience
We will begin early in the morning, at 7.00, to start the day the "Ho Chi Minh City way": a breakfast at one of the well-known Pho shops in the city, where this very famous Vietnamese Noodle Soup is served.
After breakfast, we will explore some of the small alleys to discover the everyday lives of the Saigonese, including a local kindergarted (closed on weekends) to see how children in the first stage of their studies live and attend their school.
After lunch at 12:00 am, you will be spoiled at a local hair salon with a hair wash and facial massage.
Don't forget your camera! There will be plenty of photo opportunities in this immersive tour in which you will be able to live as the Saigonneses do.
